Qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapists from the Leeds School of Physiotherapy (now Leeds Metropolitan University) worked in the NHS in the 1970s. In 1986 she gained a post graduate certificate in the treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders and in 1995 gained a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy Studies from Leeds Metropolitan University.
She is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and an active member of Physio First the occupational group representing Chartered Physiotherapists in the independent sector. She has served as a Physio First committee member for over 20 years and has received the Chartered Society’s Distinguished Service Award for her services to the profession.
